About Kathy
I have always been interested in personal growth, both my own and other people’s. I’m curious about what helps us move forward, what gets in our way, and how we begin to recognize strengths in ourselves that we may have overlooked for years.
Becoming a coach felt like a natural next step for me.
I’m a New England-based certified life coach, author, and facilitator. I work with adults and teens locally, nationally, and internationally. I founded Quintessential Coaching to help people gain clarity, build confidence, recognize their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward what they want in their lives and work.

Experience that Shaped My Work
Before coaching, I spent 28 years in the hospitality industry working for a renowned historic New England destination. During those years, I worked with business and nonprofit leaders, civic organizations, boards, and members of the community.
I learned a great deal about leadership, relationships, service, communication, and what happens when people with very different perspectives come together around a common goal. It was also where something I had long believed became very clear to me: personal and professional growth are deeply connected.
Over the years, I have also served in leadership and development roles on several boards and committees. Each experience has taught me something different, but integrity and respect for people have always been at the center of how I work.
Outside of my coaching work, I serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), volunteering on behalf of children involved in the child welfare system.
Coaching, Training & Facilitation
My coaching education includes training through Quantum Success Coaching Academy, Strategic Intervention Coaching, and The Coaching Institute. I have continued my education through additional courses and study in personal development, mindset, leadership, communication, and human behavior. I believe we are always learning, especially when our work involves people.
My work has grown to include individual and group coaching, workshops and retreats, as well as collaborations with wellness centers and community organizations.
I am also an author, creating books and resources for adults, teens, and children. Much of my writing grew naturally from my coaching and reflects the same ideas that have guided my work for years: confidence, self-worth, resilience, conscious thinking, and recognizing what we are capable of.

What I Believe
At the heart of my work is a belief I’ve carried for a long time: we all have gifts, talents, strengths, and abilities that are uniquely ours.
Sometimes we recognize them easily. Sometimes life, fear, disappointment, or simply being busy taking care of everyone else makes them harder to see.
I don’t believe growth is about becoming someone entirely new. Often, it’s about getting clear enough to recognize who you already are, trusting what you have to offer, and being willing to take the next step.
That is why I do this work.
And on the personal side, I am a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of six. Those roles have probably taught me as much about people, growth, resilience, and love as anything I have ever studied.
Oh, and I love my cat, Moxie. All that training comes in surprisingly handy keeping up with his antics.
